Our story
Since 2016, City in a Box has brought together the best of local makers. What started in Rotterdam as an idea between two brothers has grown into a network of entrepreneurs across the Netherlands.
That grew into Christmas hampers and corporate gifts filled with artisan products from cities across the Netherlands. Alkmaar joined in 2018.
We support local businesses and help create local jobs. Our hampers are packed at social workshops, by people who find it harder to get into work.
And we don't throw anything away: whatever's left over after the season, we donate to the local food bank.
proud of the city, proud of our work —
