Alkmaar Christmas hamper with a game: a gift that starts the conversation
6 August 2026 · 2 min read
Add a city game or quiz to your hamper and turn a box of treats into a team activity.
A hamper with a game inside does something an ordinary box doesn't: it gets people sitting together. That's especially valuable for hybrid teams.
What you can add
- An Alkmaar quiz with questions about the city and about your company.
- A card game or pub quiz that fits with a drinks box.
- A 'taste the city' trail: cards with each product featuring a task or fun fact.
- A team bingo you play during the Christmas drinks.
Combine with a drinks box
A game plus drinks is a natural combination. Check out our drinks boxes or the Kaaskopse Box for a more generous composition.
Bringing your own game
Tip: pick a game you can explain in ten minutes
A hamper game has to be playable on the sofa, drink in hand, without an eight-page manual. Card games, city quizzes and short party games work; complex board games stay in the box.
Tip: tie the game to the rest of the hamper
- A city quiz with a beer from the neighbourhood the questions cover.
- A tasting game: blind-taste three chocolates and guess which is bean-to-bar.
- Bingo with tasks that work during office drinks.
The game then stops being a loose item and becomes the reason the rest of the box gets opened.
Tip: make a team version and a home version
Some games are fun with eight colleagues, others with two people on a sofa. For a hybrid team, choose something that already works with two players and add a rule variant for larger groups. Simply print that variant on the insert card.
Tip: let the game be the gift that stays
Food gets eaten; a game doesn't. It's the cheapest element with the longest life - and next year, the one people ask about.
Already had your own game or quiz card printed? We're happy to pack it into the box. Just mention it in your quote request.
