The smell of freshly roasted nuts is part of Alkmaar's old town. The Alkmaarse Notenbranderij roasts everything by hand, in small batches - from the classic Japanese nut mix to own creations like Old Alkmaar.

You can taste the difference with supermarket nuts straight away: freshly roasted means more aroma, more crunch and no unnecessary additives. The roastery works with carefully chosen ingredients and roasts only when needed, so nothing sits around for long.

Besides nuts, they also make their own peanut butter: pure, without strange additives, just peanuts and a pinch of salt as it should be.
